I WAS really pleased that you published my poem "Reflections at Christmas Time" in the Christmas edition of the Hawick News – nicely positioned next to that wonderful aerial photograph of Hawick taken by Alan Brydon.
I must mention that it was a poem without an ending as the last three verses were not there! Your fault or mine hardly matters, Christmas is over and the New Year is just beginning. Happy New Year everyone!

Whilst on the subject of poems it would be nice to know that this particular talent, that many people have, is encouraged to bloom – it is just as important as the arts, musical ability, dancing, sports achievement etc.

It would be an awful shame to quell thought, feeling and expression through lack of awareness and lack of time.
