IN REPLY to last week's 'Criteria causing concern' letter. The application for the community council would have been turned down not for any other reason than where in the town the letter writer lives.
You can only be active if Burnfoot's where you live (on Burnfoot Community Council) or elsewhere in the town (on Hawick Community Council)
Believe me, if you want to join the latter it's as easy as taking candy from a bairn. I have been on 18 years and I've witnessed ups and downs. However, I found it was the only way to help Hawick.
