AREN'T we all getting a bit too used to politicians saying one thing to get our votes and then doing something completely different?
However, the latest election newsletter from Michael Moore really takes the proverbial biscuit.

There is a lot of talk about supporting local jobs and the local economy but then I read, hidden away on the back page, that the leaflet was actually printed in London!

I am quite sure that a number of Scottish printers, never mind Borders or indeed Hawick printing firms, would have been more than happy to help, but instead the Liberal Democrat MP has decided to support jobs in the big city.

So much for supporting our economy!

Henry Oak,

Thank you, Ms Pow, for this post. I have been engaging Michael Moore for some time, in particular concerning local Freeview TV in Hawick which he so aptly called 'Freeview Lite'. While he seemed, from his replies, to be involved, I do now wonder from what you are saying just how much of his replies were simply 'lip service' to my enquiries. I don't suppose any M.P. with all of the monetary expenses available to them would be personally concerned with 'Freeview Lite' if they could quite easily claim for a satellite subscription.
