The committee of the Girlguiding Hawick Christmas Post would like to thank everyone who was involved in Guiding Post this year, it was a huge effort by everyone and we were overwhelmed with the support we received.
A huge thank you to all the units, girls and Guiders, to everyone who helped set up the hall, bring in their cards, stamp the cards, count money, sort cards, deliver and everything else involved in the Post. We cannot thank you enough.

Girlguiding
Hawick took in more than 23,000 cards this year and we raised £3,500, which is a huge boost to our funds, and will go directly back to the girls by helping to pay for their census for 2010, which is £20 per girl. This is a huge help to the units and it means their weekly census money can be used within the units for ensuring the girls have the best experience possible in Guiding.

We will also be making a donation to a local charity, so other people can benefit from the money raised too.

Thank you again to everyone who used Guiding Post, we really appreciate it.

RACHEL MARSHALL

I WOULD like to thank the generous people of Denholm who supported our carol singing on Christmas Eve. The girls raised £76.45 which will be shared between our unit and a local charity.

ANNE SCOTT

I WOULD like to take this opportunity to thank the two ladies who helped me after I had a fall and broke my ankle. Also thanks to Margaret Robertson for help with my dog Charly and for washing my gloves!
