STUART Andrews has come up with a novel idea for Teries to escape the seemingly endless amount of roadworks in the town – free-running.
Also known as parkour, it involves turning an everyday town or cityscape into an urban playground, with the idea simply to move freely and get past obstacles such as walls, stairs and railings in as fluid and graceful a manner as possible.
And that would certainly be easier than driving around the town at the moment.
All that is required is a decent pair of trainers and a distinct lack of fear.
Stuart, or Speedy as he is known, is originally from Edinburgh, but moved here in November with his fiancée Kerry Potts.
The 29-year-old, pictured, said: "It's basically about going from A to C in your everyday environment, like your Jackie Chan movie kind of thing. Getting from one place to the other without just walking, by using walls, stairs or railings. Like a stuntman."
