BURNFOOT Community Council treated the local children to an early visit from Santa Claus on Christmas Eve.
Santa and his sleigh toured the estate and the youngsters who came out were treated to a bag of sweets and a wave.

The annual event is in its fourth year and is going from strength to strength. Sub-committee member Callum White told the Hawick News: "We handed out 496 bags of sweets and Santa was really popular with the kids. Next year we may even expand his visit to include Stirches."

Santa is pictured with his little helpers before setting off on his journey around the estate.
