PLANS are well underway for the return of the hugely popular local amateur production A Reiver's Moon to the Hawick stage.
Members of the Two Rivers Theatre Company, under the direction of Jean Wintrope, have begun rehearsing for a re-run of the show from Monday 7-10 September in the Town Hall - with most of the original cast returning, along with some new faces.
The
show has been set to co-incide with the Borders Walking Festival, which is taking place in the Hawick and Jedburgh area from September 5-13, which it is hoped will attract many visitors and swell the local audience.
And to round off the week's entertainment, Scocha will also be presenting two concerts in the Town Hall.
Co-author Ian Landles told the Hawick News: "Myself and Alan Brydon are delighted that A Reivers Moon is being performed again, and there is already considerable interest in tickets so we recommended that people book early."
And on the Friday (September 11) it will be "standing room only" when Scocha take the stage with local support acts, and on the Saturday the Town Hall will rock again but on this occasion there will be cabaret seating in the main hall and the balcony will also be open."
Tickets for the Reivers's Moon and Scocha will go on sale on Saturday, July 4, from 10am till noon in the Border Club and from Monday July 6 from Bannerman Burke, High Street.
