THE countdown is well and truly on to this year's Christmas pantomime.
Entitled The Teri Who Never Woz, the hotly anticipated show will be staged in the town hall early next month and, as well as providing a great night out, the show is set to raise thousands of pounds for local charities.

Producer Graham Ford said: "There's been a great atmosphere at rehearsals, and the show is littered with great songs, excellent dance routines and loads of humour.

"I never fail to be impressed by the level of ability in our group, with the chorus learning a new dance almost every week, while the cast continues to put a huge amount of work into becoming their character."

The show features a blend of experience and stage debutants – and among the new faces is Ryan McGee, who will play the lead male role.

He said: "I've been involved in the panto backstage for a couple of years, but this year I went along to the auditions and did some readings from the script which was great. I then received a phone call from Graham asking me to play lead male. It was an offer I couldn't turn down and it's been a very enjoyable run-up to the show."
