Thanks to all for helping care home residents join parade

THROUGH your columns, I would like to thank say a huge thanks to the following people who helped enable the residents of St Margaret’s and Buccleuch care homes to participate in the Christmas parade last Saturday.

It really means so much that they still feel part of the community and are able to join in events such as this.

Firstly, Doves for the donation of wooden panels for scenery for the float; Kevin Waugh for his joinery skills; and Kevin Watson for the provision of a trailer and transport.

Also, last but by no means least, the staff, who once again went above and beyond the call of duty to get everyone involved.

The time and effort they put in does not go unnoticed and is greatly appreciated.
