THE Borders Exploration Group's trip to Chile will still go ahead despite the country being ravaged by an 8.8 magnitude earthquake last weekend.
Hawick-based chief leader Ron Sutherland has confirmed that the three-week summer expedition is under no threat following the disaster which destroyed over two million homes – with plans now centring on how they can assist in areas affected.
